A Spider Surprise

           Once upon a time, there was a naughty boy named James who loved playing tricks on his sister, Jane. He thought tricks were funny but he didn’t think about other’s feelings.

           One day, James was up to his tricks again. He put a rubber spider in one of Jane’s favourite slippers. The next morning, Jane wore her slippers when she woke up and felt something odd in it. Jane took off her slippers and saw the fake spider inside. She screamed, ‘Mum! There’s a big spider living in my slippers!’ James burst out into laughters, taking out the spider and shook it. Jane said, ‘James…….be careful…….it’s a spider!’. ‘It’s only a rubber spider. Silly!’ James teased.

           So at last, Jane shouted at him and yelled, ‘You naughty little monster! How dare you play tricks on me!’ Since then, Jane was no longer scared of spiders because she thought they were only made of rubber, until one day she saw a real spider……….
