Greek Myth – The Myth of Titania
On a mission, Zeus’ daughter, Titania was wandering. Silver monlight cast its colour all over the land, leaving faint sounds of bats’ fluttering wings.
Titania wanted to overcome her fear of darkness. As she stepped into a cave, everything fell into darkness. Titania sobbed. She smelt the earthy air, heard the water droplets. What she worried most was darkness. Titania felt an unremiting absence of light. She was so scared. She cowered in a corner and pondered to herself, “If it’s me who’s determined to face my fear, why can’t I do it?”
Zeus appeared in a sudden. Titania was surprised and smiled. Zeus encouraged her, “Child, become your own defender and overcome your phobia yourself!” Hearing that, Titania took a deep breath and walked out from the cave on her own at last. She had no more fear in her life as she could protect herself. Titania was now a goddess of courage and a great defender.
